It's Tanis here....and I'm excited to be here with my first guest designer post! I was browsing my Google Reader on Friday and stumbled on THIS POST on my friend Lauren's blog. She was revisiting the inchie and twinchie theme and I thought it would be fun to try this out again. I'm sure the last time I played with inchies was over two years ago, and I've NEVER made a twinchie!
Just in case you aren't familiar with these terms, an inchie is basically a canvas that is one inch by one inch. You are free to create with any medium or style within that inch. It's CHALLENGING due to the small space, but super fun. A twinchie is the same concept, but with a 2 inch square canvas.
I decided on the Twinchie for my project. My canvas was just a piece of card stock that I added layers, stamping and stitching to.
That amazing bird (which I stamped on fabric) is from this month's Kit of the Month....Fly Free. The sentiment and foliage (in the background) comes from Bevy of Butterflies.
Twinchies are super great, cause you can have so much fun making them....and then it's SUPER EASY to make a quick card from your collection.
I took a 4 1/4 inch square card base, stamped the Worn Grid Background on it and popped up my twinchie with foam dots. Gotta love quick :)
And that's it that's all for today! Hope you have a good Monday and a super week!
